Guy Metro Building
Concordia has gradually reclaimed rented spaces in the Guy Métro Building to accommodate Concordia administrative offices and there are currently very few external tenants with long-term leases. The Office of the President and members of the Cabinet took over the eighth floor in 2005; other administrative units have also recently joined long-time residents of the building, the John Molson School of Business (JMSB), the Services group, and Financial Services. Half the building is currently occupied by the JMSB and they will all move into the new JMSB Building when it opens in 2009.
The 40-year-old building exterior requires work to bring it up to current building standards. Renovations will take place in 2009-10 and will include replacing 1960s single-pane windows with energy-saving windows, structural maintenance and repair, and upgrading of the building exterior to harmonize with adjacent and nearby new Concordia buildings.
After the move to the new JMSB Building all administrative units will be consolidated in the Guy-Métro Building in 2009-10.
